| Break by the Lake is sponsored by the Counseling Program and the Office for Rural Education at Western Carolina University and Jackson County Schools. This one day conference, held in the fall each year, is for school counselors, social workers, nurses, psychologists, attendance officers, school resource officers and other student personnel workers. Student services personnel take a break and come together at Lake Junaluska for a day's sharing of ideas that work, networking and connecting with colleagues. The featured presenters are professionals from the western region, who, like the targeted population, are working practitioners. |
